Introducing JIRA helps onboard new JIRA users by covering the basics of JIRA and creating a solid foundation for future JIRA training. After this course, you will be able to find your way around JIRA and know how to create an Issue, the basics of permissions, how to search and create filters in JIRA , and how to manage Issues and data through editing options, built-in reports, and dashboards.
This course is broken into six modules:
Module 1: Introduction to JIRA
This module gives you a background on JIRA, information on logging in and navigating JIRA, and a bit on the overall structure of JIRA.
Module 2: Creating and Viewing Issues
This module walks you through the process of creating an Issue in JIRA and what you additional information you can find on the view screen of an Issue.
Module 3: Permissions in JIRA
This module covers some basics of permissions in JIRA to help you understand your permissions in the system.
Module 4: Searching and Creating Filters in JIRA
This module focuses on JIRA search, including basic and advanced, and creating a filter in JIRA. You will also learn how to share your filters once you save them.
Module 5: Manage Issues
This module shares ways to manage your issues in JIRA including editing options; workflows (and how they work); and notifications.
Module 6: Building Reports and Creating Dashboards
This module covers the built-in reports available within JIRA, along with some examples of those reports. You will also learn how to create, edit, and share a dashboard.
